According to The Express, West Ham United have ruled out a sale of Jarrod Bowen in the summer deeming the attacker untouchable. The Hammers are expected to sell one of their star names to fund their summer spending spree, but the skipper is currently not a player they wish to part ways with.
West Ham United managed to tie down Jarrod Bowen to a seven-year deal back in 2023, which does allow the club powers to decide the skipper’s future. The Hammers are enduring a tough period on the pitch, as they languish in 17th position in the standings.
Many reports have suggested the club could sell one of their star players in the summer to help gather the funds needed for a big summer spending spree. Bowen, given his top performances, is a top-rated asset for the club, with some Premier League sides, including Newcastle United, seemingly interested in signing him.
The Magpies have had a long-term interest in the key West Ham star, as Eddie Howe will look to add a new right winger to the equation. Similarly, Liverpool had considered him before Mohamed Salah’s renewal, and could still hold an interest in Bowen.
Some reports had stated Bowen was indeed considering his future at West Ham following a dismal campaign on all fronts. While it may be true that the Hammers could indeed sell one of their big names in the summer, the Hammers are not even thinking about offloading their skipper.
West Ham are not thinking about selling Bowen, but instead, they could consider offloading one or both of Lucas Paqueta or Mohammed Kudus. The Hammers were thinking about selling the latter, who has a reported £85 million release clause applicable to most clubs but a different one for Saudi Arabian sides.
Paqueta’s future is still under a cloud following betting allegations, as that might be the reason he’s still at the London Stadium. In any case, these are the two players the Hammers might potentially offload to gather funds, as their skipper, Bowen seems untouchable ahead of the summer.
