Yuri Alberto agrees personal terms with West Ham United ahead of summer move

West Ham United have agreed on personal terms with Corinthians attacking sensation Yuri Alberto ahead of a potential summer move.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, West Ham United are closing in on the signature of Yuri Alberto. The Hammers have identified him as a priority target for the summer transfer window and have already taken a giant step towards securing his signature as they have agreed personal terms with the Brazilian striker.

Yuri Alberto has been a consistent performer for Corinthians since returning to the club in 2022. While he has only contributed towards nine goals so far this season, he was on fire last season as he bagged 31 goals and seven assists.

His performances and his potential have put him on the radar of West Ham, who are looking for a new striker. The Hammers haven’t had the best of seasons this time around and they are all set to undergo significant changes.

West Ham take a key step towards signing Yuri Alberto

Graham Potter will look to bring in players who can help him better implement his style of play having taken over from Julen Lopetegui mid-season. The Hammers are keen to bring in a top-quality number nine, a position they have struggled with in recent years.

While they forked out a massive fee to sign players like Gianluca Scamacca and Niclas Fullkrug, those moves haven’t really worked out. With Mikhail Antonio and Danny Ings’ futures uncertain, and a permanent move for Evan Ferguson proving difficult, the Hammers are looking to sign Yuri Alberto.

They feel the 24-year-old can help them in the short as well as the long. He has all the qualities to fit into Potter’s system and they have already stepped up their interest. The London club have been in talks with his representatives and they have agreed personal terms with him.

The Hammers will now look to strike a deal with Corinthians, who are likely to demand a significant fee, as the Brazilian international still has over two years remaining on his contract. The Hammers are hopeful that the move for Yuri Alberto will work out even though he has no experience of playing in the Premier League.
