Chelsea eyeing summer moves for Gregor Kobel, Jamie Gittens, Karim Adeyemi

Chelsea will reportedly look to sign Gregor Kobel, Jamie Gittens, and Karim Adeyemi from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by German outlet BILD, Gregor Kobel, Jamie Gittens, and Karim Adeyemi are the subjects of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for a goalkeeper and versatile attackers heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Borussia Dortmund trio. However, the Bundesliga giants will likely demand over €100 million to part ways with the three players.

Gregor Kobel has come leaps and bounds since joining Borussia Dortmund from VfB Stuttgart in July 2021. While the Swiss international has endured a dreadful 2024/25 campaign, the defensive woes in front of him have contributed to the record of 65 goals conceded and only ten clean sheets in 44 appearances across all competitions.

As for Jamie Gittens, the Englishman has been among the most promising young prospects in the Bundesliga since breaking into the first-team squad at Borussia Dortmund. While the young winger has been in and out of the starting lineup this season, he has managed a solid tally of 12 goals and five assists in 2,716 minutes of game time thus far.

Meanwhile, Karim Adeyemi was slow off the blocks after joining Borussia Dortmund from RB Leipzig. However, the German international has enjoyed a solid 2024/25 campaign, amassing nine goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Adeyemi’s progress has not gone unnoticed, alerting Chelsea and other European bigwigs. The Blues are also keen on signing Gittens and Kobel.

Chelsea to sign three Borussia Dortmund players?

Chelsea’s interest in Gregor Kobel, Jamie Gittens, and Karim Adeyemi is understandable. The Blues are keen on reinforcing their goalkeeping unit in the summer transfer window amid the inconsistent displays of Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen. So, despite signing nearly half a dozen shot-stoppers in the last few years, Kobel is a viable target for Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke face an uncertain future at Chelsea heading into the summer transfer window. In addition, Mykhailo Mudryk’s status is unclear after failing a doping test. So, Gittens and Adeyemi are options worth considering for the West London club.

The report has claimed that Kobel and Gittens will cost around €60 million each. However, Adeyemi’s price is unclear. Nevertheless, Chelsea must break the bank to seal the triple raid on Borussia Dortmund for the three players in the summer transfer window.
