Youssef En-Nesyri wants Fenerbahce exit amid West Ham United links

Youssef En-Nesyri is ready to leave Fenerbahce amid the growing pressure from the club’s fans, as West Ham United remains linked.

According to Vamos Mi Sevilla, Youssef En-Nesyri wants to quit Fenerbahce after only a season with the Istanbul side amid growing tensions with the fans. The striker’s recent period of negative performances have built pressure on his shoulders from the supporters as he could leave the Turkish giants with West Ham United one of those linked.

Youssef En-Nesyri had a change of scenery last summer when Fenerbahce agreed to pay a fee close to €20 million and bring him to Istanbul. The Morrocan striker has been immense for Jose Mourinho’s side, and while he has had some patches with some abject performances, his goal tally of 26 across all competitions has been mightly impressive.

Yet, it’s the period when he had consistent bad performances, the fans turned on him which has seen him close down his social media accounts. The pressure has grown on the striker ahead of the summer, with the 26-goal African attacker now ready to leave the Turkish giants for a new challenge elsewhere.

There’s interest from West Ham United as well as Al-Nassr, with either of those teams likely to monitor his situation ahead of the summer. Fenerbahce reported wanting around €35 million from the Moroccan’s sale in the summer, as they would also owe Sevilla 10% of any proceeds.

It remains to be seen whether suitors are open to paying as much, as West Ham do feel the asking price is high for the 26-goal African attacker. In any case, the Hammers have had previous interest in the striker, as his profile suits their team, while he has already proven his worth as a prolific striker for many seasons now.

Youssef En-Nesyri now Premier League bound?

West Ham may put forward a compelling proposal if their interest in En-Nesyri is rather genuine. Graham Potter does need a new striker as he does not have many options to lead the line apart from Niclas Fullkrug and winger Jarrod Bowen.

The interest from Al-Nassr could be compelling for the player from a financial standpoint and the fact that the pressure from the fans will be considerably less compared to Istanbul. Alternatively, he might consider a stint in the Premier League as London could potentially become his next destination to play football, possibly with West Ham.
