According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester City have set their sights on PSG’s Désiré Doué as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of next season. The Premier League giants are willing to put forward an offer worth €120 million to snatch him away from the Ligue 1 outfit.
Doue came up the ranks at made a name for himself at Stade Rennais before making the move to PSG last summer. While he slowly worked his way into Luis Enrique’s plans, the 19-year-old forward has been on fire in the second half of the season.
He has established himself as a key figure in the team and his consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed. The teenager has stepped up in big games, earning significant prominence within the PSG dressing room. He has even managed to break into the French national team.
While Doue prefers playing on the left flank, he can pretty much feature anywhere in attack. His performances along with his massive potential have put him on the radar of Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s team are constantly on the lookout for young players who can further bolster their squad and they believe the French forward could be a great bet for the long run. As a result, the Premier League giants are preparing an offer to try and lure him away from PSG.
His ability to take on defenders, maturity on the ball, and killer instincts in the final third are key reasons why City are so keen to secure his services. They are considering putting forward an offer worth €120 million, which will certainly make the French giants think about the possibility of cashing in on him.
But as things stand, PSG consider Doue an integral part of their long-term plans. With Kylian Mbappe no longer at the club, they want to build their new project around the 19-year-old and have no intentions of negotiating his departure.
