Ederson ready for summer move, Manchester City ready to offer €50 million

Atalanta’s Ederson is ready for a new challenge in the summer with Manchester City readying a €50 million offer for the Brazilian midfielder.

According to TBR, Ederson is ready to leave Atalanta in the summer and angle a new move to another club. There are plenty of suitors in the market for the 25-year-old Serie A midfielder, with a host of Premier League clubs included in the running. Manchester City are the ones who are willing to make a €50 million offer to test Atalanta’s resolve.

Ederson has been an immense presence for Atalanta over the last few seasons, helping Gian Piero Gasperini’s side win the Europa League last season. His time at the Bergamo club might be coming to an end as the midfielder is ready for a new challenge with a host of interested parties likely to make an offer.

He has suitors from Italy with Juventus among those keeping tabs, although the big interest comes from the premier League. Liverpool and Manchester United had enquired about the midfielder, with either of those English giants in search of a top-notch player in the middle of the park.

Liverpool failed to sign Martin Zubimendi last summer, and while they are close to winning the Premier League without adding a new midfielder, Arne Slot will want options there. Manchester United were considered the frontrunner for Ederson, as Ruben Amorim wants a new midfielder solid enough to shore up the options in the central areas.

Either of those sides will try their luck with a potential offer in the future, as they will be boosted by Ederson’s desire for a new challenge. The biggest worry for Manchester United and Liverpool will come in the form of Manchester City, who are prepared to make a big offer.

Manchester City readying €50 million Ederson offer

Manchester City are in the mix for Ederson, and as per Tutto Atalanta, they are willing to fork out €50 million to test Atalanta’s resolve on the Brazilian. Pep Guardiola did sign Nico Gonzalez in January to shore up his ranks but will look for another addition to partner Rodri in the central midfield areas for next season.

Manchester City could test Atalanta with that €50 million offer, as that might be the price point the Bergamo side are looking for. Should they get serious in this race for the 25-year-old Serie A midfielder, Manchester City will be seen as favourites to land the Brazilian ahead of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.
