PSG line up €80 million move for Eduardo Camavinga

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly aim to sign 24-cap French international Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid in a deal worth €80 million in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Eduardo Camavinga is the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions are combing the market for a midfielder heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Real Madrid whizkid. They are ready to offer €80 million to sign the 24-cap French international in the coming months.

Eduardo Camavinga and his Real Madrid career so far

Eduardo Camavinga has come leaps and bounds since joining Real Madrid from Stade Rennais in August 2021. Los Blancos beat stiff competition to land the Frenchman, who has made considerable progress at the Santiago Bernabeu despite struggling with a few fitness issues.

While the 22-year-old has not been an undisputed first-choice starter for Real Madrid in the last four years, he has been an asset for the Spanish club due to his versatility and reliability. Camavinga has turned out nearly 200 times thus far for Real Madrid while chipping in with four goals and ten assists.

However, after managing only 2,020 minutes of game time this season, the 24-cap French international is considering his Real Madrid future heading into the summer transfer window. The situation has piqued the attention of several European bigwigs, with Paris Saint-Germain among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Set to return to his homeland?

Eduardo Camavinga has been on PSG’s radar for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, even though Luis Enrique has a stacked midfield unit. The newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions want to embark on a dominant run in Europe, thus looking to add more world-class players to the first-team squad.

So, Camavinga has emerged as a viable target for PSG, with Les Parisiens ready to cough up €80 million to sign the 22-year-old Frenchman from Real Madrid. However, landing the youngster’s signature will be a tall order, with Los Blancos not ready to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.

In addition, recent reports have claimed that the 24-cap French international is committed to Real Madrid despite his dwindling game time. So, it will be surprising to see Camavinga joining PSG in the summer transfer window.
