Tottenham expected to sign Zepiqueno Redmond on a free transfer

Tottenham Hotspur are well-placed to sign Feyenoord attacking sensation Zepiqueno Redmond on a free transfer.

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham could land Feyenoord striker Zepiqueno Redmond in what is considered a bargain deal for the club. With the teenager’s contract at the Dutch club running out, Spurs are believed to be well-positioned to add him to their squad.

Redmond has been a part of Feyenoord’s youth setup since 2019. He has gone up the ranks at some pace and was officially promoted to their Under21s last summer. His consistent performances at the youth level have helped him break into their first team.

The 18-year-old striker has already featured in a total of nine games for the senior side and has already found the back of the net twice. He was even involved in their Champions League fixtures against both Inter and AC Milan.

His impressive rise along with his massive potential has attracted a lot of interest. With his contract at the Dutch club running out at the end of the season, clubs are gearing up to sign the teenage sensation on a free transfer.

Tottenham to sign Redmon on a free transfer

While quite a few clubs want to sign the Dutch youth international, Tottenham are expected to win the race. They are well positioned to get a deal over the line and see this as a massive opportunity to sign a top talent on a bargain.

Spurs are set for major changes this summer, with Ange Postecoglou expected to be sacked and Daniel Levy likely to push for a significant overhaul. While the incoming manager will certainly have a say on the players they sign, the North London club are already working on potential signings.

They are constantly on the lookout for opportunities in the market and have found one in Redmond, as a top-level striker is available for free. While he is not yet ready to start games for Spurs, he has the potential to be a special player for them.

They will certainly look to reinforce their attack as Richalison and Timo Werner could end up parting ways and Dominic Solanke has struggled to stay fit. While they will look to bring in a world-class forward, Redmond could end up being a great backup option. Spurs could face competition for his signature given he’s available for free, but they are currently expected to win the race.
