Chelsea make enquiry for Malik Tillman

Chelsea have reportedly enquired for PSV Eindhoven star Malik Tillman who has had a tremendous season with the Dutch giants.

According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea are interested in a potential move for Malik Tillman ahead of the summer as the Blues have enquired with PSV Eindhoven. The attacking midfielder has been a star performer in the Eredivisie, as the Blues could view him as a replacement for some of their unwanted stars.

Chelsea are expected to have another busy transfer window, as the club hierarchy will probably continue their experimentation with the squad. The Blues are once again in line to spend significantly on players that suit their profile requirements, that will likely be under a certain age bracket.

The latest name to be linked with a move to Chelsea is that of Malik Tillman. The USMNT star who has been shining in the Eredivisie at PSV Eindhoven has 17 goals and assists this season across all competitions. He only joined them from Bayern Munich last season and could be on the move once again.

Chelsea have reportedly enquired about Tillman ahead of the summer, with the Blues thinking about signing Hikm as a potential replacement for one of many players expected to leave. The 17 G/A Eredivisie midfielder plays as an attacking midfielder as a priority, but he could also slot into the left-hand side of the front three.

He’s similar to the likes of Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku in that aspect, with either of those current Chelsea stars expected to seal a departure from the club. Nkunku could be the first to leave after growing frustrated at his reduced role under Enzo Maresca, as Tillman could be seen as a direct replacement for the Frenchman.

Malik Tillman could replace Joao Felix

The other finer details about Tillman remain unclear at this point, as he still has a contract until 2028. PSV would ideally demand a significant sum to sell him, especially given how important he has been for their season across all fronts. At Chelsea, he could potentially replace one of Nkunku or Felix.

Felix has some interest from Premier League sides, as it has become clearer that Chelsea do not fancy him any longer. Tillman could potentially replace the Portuguese attacker in this Chelsea squad, as there are big chances for him to leave Stamford Bridge after a failed loan move to AC Milan in January.
