Jonathan David is all set to leave LOSC Lille this summer after his contract with the Ligue 1 club runs out. Barcelona and West Ham United are both keen on signing him, and according to a report from TEAMtalk, both clubs have already submitted contract offers to secure his services.
David has been a consistent performer for the Ligue 1 outfit since joining them back in 2020. The Canadian internaitonal is enjoying yet another impressive season as he has contributed towards 33 goals in his 43 outings across competitions. Although he remains one of the first names on the team sheet, his departure is inevitable, with the player informing the club he won’t be signing an extension.
With Jonathan David available for free in a few months, multiple top clubs are gearing up to make a move for his services. Barcelona and West Ham seem to have already put forward a contract offer to lure the 25-year-old Canadian international.
Both clubs have formally reached out to him to understand his position and offer him a contract to join them. These terms are not final but will help initiate further discussion. David prefers a club playing European football, and Barcelona is something of a dream destination for him.
