According to a report from TBR, Tottenham are actively looking to sell Richarlison this summer and there is interest in his services from Everton. While the Toffees are keen on bringing him back, they would prefer a loan move.
Richarlison made a name for himself at the Merseyside club. His consistent performances had put him on the radar of several top clubs but Spurs managed to win the race as they forked out £60 million back in 2022.
While he made a decent start to life at the North London club under Antonio Conte, things haven’t gone as well for him lately. The arrival of Dominic Solanke has pushed him down the pecking order, and while he could also feature on the left flank, Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel are also competing for the same role.
The 27-year-old has also struggled with injuries this season and has been restricted to just 18 appearances this season. While his contract at the club runs until 2027, he doesn’t seem to have a future at the club.
Spurs have already made a decision and they are working hard to find him a new club. While there is interest in him from the Middle East, he is not really keen on leaving Europe at this stage of his career.
The Brazilian international’s former club Everton have emerged as a potential destination. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract running down, he could leave the Merseyside club for free, and they will certainly need a top-quality forward as they prepare to move into their new Bramley-Moore Dock home.
While they do need to bring in a marquee star as they get ready for a new era, Everton will have to be wary of their PSR restrictions this summer. As a result, they would prefer signing Richarlison on loan. Given his lofty wages, a loan deal certainly seems a more realistic option for the Toffees.
Meanwhile, Spurs are looking for a permanent deal but that seems unlikely at this stage. They could end up accepting a loan deal but will push for a buy obligation. While both clubs are in talks, it is still early stages and nothing concrete has happened so far.
